Nokia E1 And Nokia D1 Images Leaked Online

The Finnish company Nokia got the whole tech community excited after it was known that the company CEO, Rajeev Suri would be giving an essence at the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress), which is expected to take place early next year.

An essential update on the Nokia website brought a section not seen for a long time. The company itself confirmed that its first smartphone running Android will be released in early 2017. The news marks the return of the Finnish company into the smartphone market, after the sale of the mobile devices division to Microsoft, in 2013.
The smartphones of Nokia will be manufactured by HMD global, a Finnish company that bought the rights to the iconic brand of mobile phones, as explained earlier. Nokia had done something similar in the tablet market with the N1, which looked a lot like the iPad mini and was produced by Foxconn, but the product was restricted to a few markets such as China and Russia.
While it is still not clear as to what the company CEO, Rajeev Suri will be presenting on stage, we already know that Nokia is expected to make a comeback in the smartphone market in 2017. There were lots of rumors spreading across the internet regarding Nokia handsets. Hence, many users have their hopes high that it would Nokia’s comeback to the smartphones world with some new exciting smartphones.

As, previously, we have seen few leaks which suggested that the Nokia D1C might be the upcoming Android powered tablet from Nokia. However, fresh image renders from Weibo shows a different story.
But, recently, a new set of images showing potential Nokia-branded smartphones have emerged in China, as the NPU reported. There are two sketched images showing the long-time rumored Nokia D1 along with the fresh Nokia E1.

Among the both device, the all new Nokia E1 is a more recent device that we haven’t heard of until now, but it does not mean that it really doesn’t exist. However, if we observe the overall look of the new devices then it is clearly visible that both phones have a very similar design.

But, again if you look little clearly then you can notice that the Nokia D1’s corners are slightly rounded, unlike the Nokia E1’s. Moreover, you can also notice few more changes like the positioning of the front LED flash, a physical Home button and most probably the size and weight of the smartphones.

While if we talk about the physical home button then it is visible that the new upcoming Nokia D1 will sport a physical home button, unlike the Nokia E1’s. However, the Finnish company Nokia expected to announce at least one new Nokia smartphone in late February 2017.

This Is How Nokia’s Upcoming Handset May Look Like

We all know that Nokia will return to the smartphone market even the company claimed its comeback news on its official website by saying that its first smartphone which is running Android will be released in early 2017.

Previous reports suggest that the company is developing Android-powered smartphone which will be known as “Nokia P” and this will be company’s high-end smartphone featuring Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 6GB of RAM.
Nokia P will have the 23-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss lenses, and some earlier report suggests that high-end Nokia models will sport a 5.2inch or 5.5inch display and come with 2K(QHD) display.
The company is also working with another smartphone that will be known as C1, and it is rumored to feature Snapdragon 830 chipset.
Nokia C1 might have the 16 12Mp rear camera along with a 5megapixel front camera. It will be available in three variants 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB internal storage. Both the phone are expected to run Android Nougat 7.1.1 straight out of the box.

According to the reports from Phone Arena, a photo that claims to be showing the front of the upcoming device from Nokia surfaced yesterday. We can assume from the image that the phone is wearing a 5.2inch display. This was the only image that was leaked; there is the possibility that this picture might have nothing to do with the upcoming device.

There is no further evidence that proves that the upcoming devices from Nokia might look like the imaged leaked yesterday. So, we have to wait for some more time until Nokia officially announces its upcoming Android-powered smartphones.

KickassTorrents & The Pirate Bay Uploader Gets 1 Year Jail Time

A man from Everton has been jailed for a year for uploading the UK’s top 40 singles to various torrent sites, including The Pirate Bay, ExtraTorrent, and KickassTorrents each week. According to the PRS (Performing Rights Society) for Music, he has potentially cost the music industry more than £1m in a single year.

Officers from PIPCU (Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit) and Merseyside police raided an address in Everton, Liverpool. They were looking for a local DJ, Wayne Evans who was known online as OldSkoolScouse had uploaded UK’s current Top 40 Singles to various torrent sites.

According to TorrentFreak“they included at least 200 uploaded to KickassTorrents, which proved particularly popular with fans”. Wayne Evans even ran DeeJayPortal.co.uk and OldSkoolScouse.co.uk, websites which have a subscription of over 160,000 users which specialized in unlicensed a capella versions of famous tracks.
Both the domain were seized by Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit notice. On October 7, Wayne Evans appeared before a Liverpool Court where he found guilty of two counts one for distributing copyright infringing content and another one for possessing or controlling content for use in fraud.
The court found that top 40 packs were downloaded over 500,000 times and Capella tracks from DJPortal website downloaded approximately 136,000 times. The court found him a serious criminal and sentenced him to 12 months in prison.

David Watson who was defending Wayne Evans in the court said that Evans hadn’t made much money from his all activities “These losses are necessarily speculative and difficult to quantify in this case because not every illegal download leads to the loss of a legitimate sale”

Judge Robert Trevor-Jones agrees with what David Watson had said, but he said that the DJ knew what he was doing and the losses to PRS from his actions were significant
The judge said “Given your intimate knowledge of the music industry I have no doubt that you would have been aware that what you were doing here was illegal,” So, Wayne Evans was jailed for 12 months on December 15, 2016 .

Apple Removed All Nokia Products From Its Stores

Court proceedings, which bring large companies to the forefront, leave traces in their relationships that are sometimes difficult to heal.
The tech giant Apple seems to have now reacted to the process that the Finnish company Nokia has put to it, removing all the products of the Finnish company from its online store.

In a measure considered retaliatory, Apple withdrew from its online store the products of the company Withings, which had been sold for many years.

The reason for this change is obvious. Withings is a brand that the Finnish company Nokia bought this spring for $ 192 million and was incorporated into the health division of the Finnish company.
Since 3 or 4 days, the Body Cardio Scale, the Smart Body Analyzer, and Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor products are no longer available. Probably this removal will have happened also in the physical stores.

The relationship between these two tech giant companies are blurred since the Finnish company put the tech giant Apple in court for alleged use of patents without paying the due amounts.
The tech giant Apple has already defended itself and has come out publicly to warn of Nokia’s clear attempt to withdraw money from its patents now that its mobile division does not exist.

This is a process that still needs to take a long time to resolve. On the one hand, the Finnish company Nokia complains that the tech giant Apple is using its patents improperly and on the other hand the tech giant Apple accuses the Finnish company Nokia of trying to take advantage of other companies by extorting money from them.Hmmm nawa o

We all know that smartwatches and wearables market is going through difficult times. But, recently Google announced that it will launch two new smartwatches as early as on 2017.
Google To Launch Two Flagship Smartwatches Early Next Year
The smartwatches and wearables market is going through difficult times. After a great interest at the moment they reached the market, they are less and less present, and only a few can thrive.
The tech giant Google has Android Wear on its operating system for these devices and to promote it, the tech giant Google is preparing to launch two new smartwatches as early as on 2017.
Since June it was spoken of the possibility that the tech giant Google will launch on the market two smartwatches with its name. This rumor has gained momentum and now Google itself has finally confirmed it.
It was in an interview with TheVerge that Jeff Chang, product manager for Android Wear at Google, confirmed the arrival of these two new smartwatches by 2017. But contrary to what we expected, these new smart watches will not be launched with the Google brand (Pixel) but by their manufacturers, following the line Nexus.
These two new devices will be the first to have access to the second version of Android Wear and will also debut some of the new features. The most relevant are the possibility of making payments directly from the smartwatch through NFC, as several other brands already do.
After this release, Android Wear 2.0 will be released for the remaining models that are already on the market. Of course, not everyone will receive this version, leaving the older ones out.
With the tech giant Apple and Samsung playing a strong role in the smartwatches business, Google has the role of empowering its operating system and its features. This is an area more and more dominated by the devices dedicated to the fitness and for that reason, it matters that the smartwatches regain to gain their space and the interest of the consumers.

KickassTorrents After Coming Back To Life, Goes Down Again!

This year we saw that majority of Torrents website went down. Torrent lovers have seen the demise of KickassTorrents, Torrentz.eu. Of course, this really was a depressing news for all the torrent lovers as all the well-known torrent websites are shutting down.
Yesterday we have seen KickassTorrents came back with a new domain KATcr.co The site was brought back by devoted ex-staffers and the website looks just like official KickassTorrents. Kat.cr team claimed that majority of original KAT admins and crew have already joined to a new site.

So, that might be the good news for torrent lovers. However, many users claimed that the new website address is inaccessible yet again. Actually, katcr.co was launched as a forum for discussions among the community, and there was always a slight hint that the website could come back some time later.
Soon after the site came back to life, it started showing a 404 error and suddenly the community page went under construction. Users who are trying to download torrents are being shown a “403 Forbidden” error message.
The community page of KAT lists a message that suggests that it might not just be a technical glitch. “Servers Load have been affected, there are other few sources of this issue, it’s not just one. We are working on fix this as soon as possible .. one thing is for sure, we are not going anywhere, even as much these behind this acts want us to”
From the above statement, it looks like the website is under DDoS attack. The community page further says “Cowards always choose the shadows to commit their acts, and I do personally hope they know how to pray, they will need it”

Right now the page lists Rick Astley’s YouTube video titled “Never Gonna Give You Up”. There is no further information and the actual case is yet to be revealed.

BlackBerry Is Dead

It’s official, BlackBerry Is Dead

It's official, BlackBerry Is Dead-RIP!

Recently, Blackberry announced that it will stop making its own smartphones after falling behind the rivals firms like Apple, Samsung and other Chinese brands.
It’s official, BlackBerry Is Dead
A few years ago, the BlackBerry lost its glow. Once, it was one of the benchmarks in the smartphone market, lost customers and many of its services.

But BlackBerry needs to reinvent itself to survive and so has now decided to take the right step by selling the use of its brand to the Chinese company known as TCL.
This new BlackBerry reality is not exactly a novelty. Their relationship with the TCL is not new and was already the brand that designed and produced the last two smartphones that BlackBerry launched on the market, the DTEK50 and DTEK60.
But the next step has now been taken and the agreement between the BlackBerry and the TCL has been achieved, which will allow the Chinese company to design, produce, market and support to users, always using the image of the Canadian company.

BlackBerry is, however, present in the market, taking on the responsibility of creating the software and services that the brand still offers.
Although it is a global agreement and applies to the entire planet, there are some one-off exceptions. This agreement has no validity in India and Indonesia, where agreements already exist with another manufacturer, and in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Although it promises a lot, TCL has already in its portfolio other brands, which it did not explore. His most recent purchase was Palm, with which it chose not to create any equipment. At the opposite end, we have Alcatel, where TCL has launched many new features.
This is the logical way for BlackBerry to stay on the market and to roll out new devices. TCL will handle all logistics and introduce new smartphones, based on Android and the brand’s original security software.

Huawei P10 To Feature Bezel-less Front & Secondary Display On the Side

After the good reviews and sales figures which enjoy Huawei P9 that rewards the efforts of the Chinese group to seduce Western markets, a model of Huawei P10 is in production to try to continue the success of the current flagship of the company. Recently, few different render pops up that shown the final appearance of the smartphone.

According to these possible images of Huawei P10, we would have a design that recalls the Xiaomi Mi Mix and both of them are notable for their ratio between body and screen which is more than 90%. However, the reality of these images are still in doubt as we have previously known other photographs of a quite different device.
But, we must remember, in the coming days the Magic Honor, a new high-end device of the sub-Chinese firm will also be presented and among all its features it also shows a screen without frames.
Huawei P10 To Feature Bezel-less Front & Secondary Display On the Side

The image of the new flagship of Huawei showing the design and screen of Huawei P10 which is accompanied by new information that ensures that the smartphone will feature a second screen located on one of the side ends, much similar to what we find in LG V20. The same can be noticed in the image would be responsible for a possible increase in the thickness of the phone.
Huawei P10 To Feature Bezel-less Front & Secondary Display On the Side
Beyond the ratio between screen and body that allow us to know this render is of Huawei P10, we know that the smartphone would be carried out by a metal chassis and the already famous dual rear camera signed by Leica is already present in other smartphones from the manufacturer as would be the forerunner of this device, the Huawei P9, or Huawei Mate 9.

After knowing that presumably the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also be presented in April in a manufacturer’s own event, the next year was marked as the most important for manufacturers of high-end Android smartphones.
If it was above the MWC event to show the great innovations of Samsung and Huawei for the following months, it seems that brands now prefer to develop their own shots individually and thus drag media and press outside the bustle of a fair.

Google Launches A New Operating System

Google Launches A New Operating System

Google Launches A New Operating System

Recently the tech giant Google announced the developer preview of a new Android-based Operating System which comes with different tools like Android SDK, Android Studio, Google Play Services, etc.
Google Launches A New Operating System
The tech giant Google announced on Tuesday (13) a further variant of Android OS: Android Things. As the name suggests, it will be aimed at security cameras, routers, speakers or anything else connected to the Internet. It is another step from the tech giant Google to put Android everywhere, then from smartphones, wearables, televisions and cars.

As recalled by Ars Technica, Android Things is not exactly new, as it came from the Brillo, an operating system which is actually designed for the Internet of things which was announced in 2015 by the tech giant Google.

The difference is that Android Things will use the same tools that Android developers are already accustomed, such as Android Studio and Google Play Services, which should facilitate the adoption of the new platform.

Android Things is an Android that will run on very simple hardware, with basic chips and little RAM. For now, the development platform is compatible with Raspberry Pi 3 (which also runs Windows 10 IoT Core), Intel Edison and NXP Peak. In the future, the system will support Weave, a protocol that connects devices to Google’s servers, allowing control over voice commands with the Google Assistant.

But the part I found most interesting is that, according to Google, “now any Android developer can quickly build a smart device using APIs of Android and Google services, while it remains highly secure with direct updates from Google”. The tech giant Google will provide a framework for manufacturers to distribute system updates and security patches.

The lack of updates is one of the biggest problems of security cameras and other connected devices, running vulnerable versions of Linux and are used by hackers to trigger massive DDoS attacks, reaching over 1 terabit per second and already took several popular air services.

You can now live stream directly from the Twitter app

You can now live stream directly from the Twitter app

Ever since Twitter acquired the startup Periscope last year, it's been pushing hard on the live stream market. The company integrated Periscope live streams with Twitter recently, letting you live stream through the video app directly into Twitter.

And while you could watch streams in Twitter, you couldn't start them without the Periscope app. This is no longer the case, as you can now start live streams directly from your Twitter app, while composing a tweet.

The feature is still powered by Periscope, but it won't rely on a separate app. Instead, hitting the “Live” button will take you to a pre-broadcast screen, where you can frame your shot. Then you can press the “Go Live” button to start your live stream instantly.
During the broadcast, both Twitter and Periscope users will be able to join as viewers. Users will be able to comment the live stream and send hearts by tapping the screen to“show [their] support for the broadcaster”.
This is obviously an attempt on Twitter's side to catch up with the live video trends across other social media platforms. Considering that its rivals have been working on this for a while, though, Twitter might be a bit late to the race.

Apple granted patent for dual-SIM technology

Apple granted patent for dual-SIM technology
Recently we came across some rumors that Apple might be looking to hit the Chinese market with a dual-SIM version of the iPhone 8. We've seen such rumors prior to the launch of the iPhone 7 too, but they proved to be untrue. This is why we dismissed the new speculations entirely, without looking to much into them.

We might have been wrong to do so, though, as the database of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) now contains a patent, granted to Apple, for a dual-SIM technology with two separate antennas.
The patent details the technology used to work with two SIM cards, and how to determine the priority between them. According to the description, the card that's actively used for a call will have the priority over the one that's used for data at the same time, which is perfectly normal. We don't want our calls cut short, just so we can receive a Candy Crush invite.
Some embodiments, detailed in the description, support LTE networks, which is to be expected for a flagship device, so having two SIMs won't compromise connectivity options at all.

It is important to note that this is merely a patent and it doesn't confirm any dual-SIM iPhone rumors. Apple may or may not use this technology in future devices, but after this one, we'll keep our eyes open for more info on a dual-SIM iPhone.

As the report states that Samsung including its display manufacturing unit, Samsung Display has joined hands with numerous manufacturers to implement the idea of a foldable smartphone and make it a reality.
The South Korean giant, Samsung has been working on a technology to develop smartphones with foldable displays since the past three years.
